Living with "purpose" and "fulfillment" in motion

Over the past few years, my family and I have experienced numerous transitions, moving from Istanbul to Kyiv, then to Montenegro, and finally settling in Amsterdam. Each move brought new beginnings, new lessons, and new challenges. Some transitions were out of our control, while others were with intention and significant efforts; in any case, we had to continually adjust to new cultures and societies.

At times, it felt overwhelming, but I've learned that changes can be our best teachers if we let them.

After more than two decades in HR, I realized that supporting others in building healthier, more balanced, and more meaningful lives is what gives me energy and purpose, so I decided to follow a new path and became a certified health and wellness coach, guiding others to navigate change and reconnect with their own sense of purpose.

And while guiding others through transformation, I’ve been living my own, too.

Here’s what I’ve discovered through my transformation:
🔸 Growth and comfort rarely coexist. Every new beginning pushed me beyond my comfort zone. I made wise choices and not-so-wise ones, and that’s where the real learning happened.
🔸 Purpose evolves. What fulfilled you a decade ago might not fulfill you today, and that’s perfectly okay.
🔸 Resilience is built in motion. Strength doesn’t come from standing still. It’s built by moving through uncertainty and choosing to keep going.
🔸 Support matters. True fulfillment often comes from connection, being supported, and supporting others in return.

I share this experience not as a success story, but as a reminder to all of us; during a time of change, not to fear it, but to let it shape and let it teach.

Above all, to set the bar higher - "not for perfection", but "for purpose".

What has change taught you about living with purpose and fulfillment? 🤔
